Más Mujeres Creativas

Some cakes take weeks to make. This one was baked in four days.

It all started with a Thursday evening call from Noelia Fernández at Ogilvy. Four days later, the film premiered at Día C in San Sebastián.

Built around the idea of claiming our piece of the cake, the film turns desserts into declarations. We step on cakes to climb higher. We sink our fingers into the frosting instead of staying polite. We take our place at the table rather than waiting to be invited.

The cake became the perfect metaphor: something we're told to celebrate with, yet still don't get an equal slice of. Equal pay. Equal opportunities. Equal representation. Plenty of reasons to celebrate the progress made over the last ten years of Más Mujeres Creativas, and plenty of reasons to keep pushing.

Visually, I wanted the piece to live somewhere between fashion editorial and rebellion. Together with DOP Sandra Formatger, we built a world of flash photography, mirrors, reflections and bold compositions, creating images that felt elegant, provocative and unapologetic.

A film baked fast, made together, and served with just the right amount of attitude.
